To me this one is a complete surprise. I hadn't heard anything to suggest this was a possibility, so I'll see what I can uncover. He was going to be brought along slowly this spring due to the injury he sustained that cost him six games last year. It's another massive hit to depth there at cornerback and now it's a guarantee that they must be a transfer or perhaps two, while also relying on the freshmen. This could be for a lot of different reasons so I'm not going to jump to conclusions yet. That now makes 19 scholarship players since Aug. 1 for West Virginia and the total number is down to 75. There are still six spots left to fill.
