Of course, the mess that he was at Cincinnati (NCAA Probation, DUI charge, horrible player graduation rates, etc.) probably turns off some voters, too. Where is your proof of your statement above, especially as it pertains or Duke or even Kentucky? Has either Duke or Kentucky under Calipari been found to have paid players? Lamoan James openly admitted to recruiting players to UK for Nike 5-6 years ago. The pitch: go to Kentucky where you have a better chance to get into the NBA and an automatic Nike shoe contract. The same goes for Duke. It is their ploy to keep the blue bloods stocked - ESPN shows them on prime time and they take in the extra ad dollars. That Duke star that got hurt when he blew out his Nike shoe, ESPN milked that drama and sure enough, the kid got his Nike shoe contract soon after getting drafted.
