Now we know why we opted out of the NIT

You folks need a Midol.

Two days ago when he was leaving for Iowa, it was A-OK. He was "going home" and everybody was wishing him nothing but the best.

Now, he's a bum. For going to a storied program in arguably a better conference and a better paying one at that.

Wow... how terrible. Woe is us...
Iowa story was obviously a smoke screen by Indiana. Don't you remember the Rod story of losing on purpose so he move on to Michigan.
LOL

Not me. He was a bum since late February.

Not me. I wish him well. I don’t like how he left us after only 1 year, but he left for what he and many others consider a better job. It’s nothing personal. It’s business. WVU will be fine. He didn’t build anything here and his loss is simply based off potential. He had some great wins in the first year, but we didn’t even make the NCAA tournament. And our star player was also a stop gap player transfer who won’t be back because he’s a senior. I wish he had stayed, but I’m not losing any sleep over it.

The only reason not to hire Huggs is if you don't think he can coach well anymore, Wren in particular of course. The bullshit about his radio comment is lame and the dui was overblown. The dude did more for WVU than any other coach in any sport ever, and he's the only legit Hall Of Fame coach who can represent the WVU brand in any sport, so he should be considered fairly, imo.

Personally I think Beilein was better.

I knew when we hired Devries this wouldn't be his last stop. I wished he would have been here longer, but I never expected it to be more than 4-5 years. Wren is a basketball guy, and I have faith that he will hire who he feels has the best chance to get the job done.

So why did Baker go with DeVries in the first place? If he is a "basketball guy" then he would have also known that DeVries was a short-term stay guy. He had other candidates out there that could have been here longer. Now we will have to go through an entire roster rebuild AGAIN this summer for the third year in a row.

Baker hired Devries because he felt he had potential. The Wvu basketball job is not the top of the food chain. Anyone who has success here going forward will probably not be here more than 4-5 years and that's just the business reality. You just hope you can land on someone who can elevate your program and ride that pony as long as you can.

A lot of it is luck. A school like WVU has to find an elite level coach who loves this culture and has no desire to coach at a blueblood that expects winning at the highest levels. . And while it seems normal to us, most outside WV don’t understand it. WV is a special place to us. Not so much to outsiders.

Well, as I guess DeVries taught us, if a coach has a few guys that come with him as a package deal, it’s not that hard to do an entire roster rebuild in one year in this era. For any of the lower seeded teams this weekend it will be interesting to see how many of the players can actually and consistently “play up” to Big XII and higher levels, because those coaches should be our target if we can get a pair of experienced players that can set the tone. I’m not talking about a backup short slow mustached PG for St. Peter’s that starts chucking in a bunch of 3s out of nowhere, I mean guys that genuinely look like they belong when playing higher seeded teams.

We made it to tournament but some UNC AD did this huge conflict of interest maneuver that got him a huge bonus.

But yeah that indiana jobwould be a tough job to turn down. 5 million and all the help you need to recruit players. It's an open account.

DUI's are not overblown. Killing someone is called manslaughter. People on probation for DUI are required to either wear a SCRAM tether or have an interlock device before operating a vehicle. If one misses several tests or is caught driving without an interlock, they are facing a revoking of their probation.

Racism is not lame.
Is 2.10 overblowing?

Yes he did more for WVU than most had. He's hall fame. And I'm glad he got it.

Today's world of basketball has passed him by. The 80's, 90's and early 2000's basketball is over.

He can't handle it because he's set in his own ways and doesn't change. Thank him for his time here. But you're done.

Blah blah blah. Boohoo. Waaaaa..

Get off your high horses little girls. No one cars about your hate except yourself and the rest of the tiny penis club. Have fun with it. Grow a pair...

Huggins said nothing racist, you need to learn to listen..He called the students at Xavier a "bunch of Catholic fags." Neither Catholic or fag has anything to do with racism..stop with the blatant lies you old coot.

If their were any Catholic fags with Xavier then it's racist. It's also a slap in the face to all Catholics. Huggins has proven to be an alcoholic. When he admits to being one then he can truly heal from it.
