Poca (W.Va.) 2022 guard Isaac McKneely received an offer from West Virginia today and he told me that while he had been talking to the coaches for sometime this came as a surprise because he didn't see it coming this early. He made it clear that this offer meant a lot to him because it's his home state and they've been on his radar for a while. He just found out today after talking with head coach Bob Huggins and he let him know that he wants him to be a Mountaineer some day and they also talked about life outside of basketball. He obviously thins it's great but has no favorites right now because he is taking his time with the process. He now has offers from West Virginia, Xavier, Liberty, Stetson, Robert Morris, Marshall, Davidson and is still getting a feel for each. The coaches like him at the one or the two and are impressed with his ability to shoot, his length and how he can handle the ball. He has been to West Virginia twice and a host of others including Virginia twice, Indiana, Ohio State, Pitt, Liberty, Marshall, Davidson, and Duquesne. He hasn't made any plans after the dead period ends but did tell me that he wants to get up to West Virginia again soon. He averaged around 22 points per game.
