You have already stated that opinion and some posters have said they are interested in the topic.

My entire point is that Dana being a success or failure hasn't been determine..
I think after Neal Brown everyone will have a better idea.

Neal Brown can be stuck at 6-6 to 8-4.
Most likely Year 1 will be closer to 6-6 than 8-4.

I think he is.

The idea of a different coach was appealing to WV.
Everything I have heard from Dana is the idea that WV was going to win the Big 12.
He thought Oklahoma wasn't going to replace Baker Mayfield and their D was going to suck.

So he bet on himself and 2018 West Virginia.
But his best only finished in fourth place and was 6-3 in the Big 12 and 8-3 overall if you don't include the bowl game.
Dana knew he was on his way out before the bowl game.

I look at a football team as peak and valleys.
No one stays on a peak forever. Even Alabama. Difference is with Nick Saban their valley is a Sugar Bowl Appearance.

But some coaches have higher peaks and bring up the floor as they go on.

Up until they reach a point the floor caves in on them.
2018 Kansas State for example. That was suppose to be a banner year. A 9-3 team.
But special team mistakes and mental errors killed them.
Very unlike a Bill Snyder coached team.


Getting back to Neal Brown.
He is going to have to back up his talk.
Sooner or later he is going to have to put himself out there like Dana Holgersen.

This idea that WV should win the Big 12 every 5-6 Years isn't based in reality.
Mainly because no one has proved it yet.

Pretty much like Oklahoma St fans wanting to fire Mike Gundy.
The more vocal fans of the school want him gone.
Based on the idea that Oklahoma St should recruit to at least a Top 15-20 level every year.
