More 'protests' from NCAA basketball players

Lmao at “student athletes” complaining about Covid. We’ve seen the myocarditis excuse fall flat on its face. The athletes lived like kings during all this when everyone else had to stay home. Maybe these schools should get rid of these practice facilities and dieticians and extra stuff they receive since they want “equity“. Maybe that equity should be to get rid of joke atheletic academic classes/programs and not Open all the amenities that athletes get that regular students are not afforded.

Either just become a minor league for the professionals and pay something or go back to STUDENT athletes. Far too many NCAA power 5 athletes for football and basketball have no business being high school graduates much less college students. That is even accounting for the vast lowering of academic standards for non-athlete students due to the federally guaranteed student loan program.

Thing is some schools want this while others don't

Could eventually break the NCAA

Comes down to having another feather in the cap for Recruiting

Like I’ve said before: When the NCAA and schools hold out on paying players, the players will be easy targets for getting into point shaving and fixing games. You can’t watch a game without several online betting service ads running and you hear more about the line and if they beat the spread than the leading scorer. The beating services are big sponsors of network sports and they are no more than promoting gambling.

Student athletes at all the major universities should be paid. The 'shiny shoes' have profiteered off the free labor force for way too long. A good number of the free labor force are injured while participating in college sport practice and games. Most of these players have injuries they carry for life. Yes, the 'shiny shoes' free ride is over and it couldn't happen soon enough! Think about this. Some of the highest paid coaches make $12 million dollars a year......that's $250,000 a week! Enough is enough! Players should be paid in the $25,000 to $50,000 a year range as a minimum and should be provided an insurance policy that protects them if injured seriously.

Student athletes make the team, make the entertainment, make the money.

If they want to protect themselves from getting a terrible disease that has killed over 500,000 Americans and made many more have permanent health conditions--more power to them.

Same if they want to protest murder and harassment that goes unpunished.

Same if they want a piece of the pie they earned, while everyone else is getting rich off of them.

If anyone should be silenced its those who are so full of evil and hate that they pretend 500,000 Americans dying doesn't matter and people being murdered and receiving no justice doesn't matter and student athletes don't deserve anything more than their scorn and hate.

The problem is that these discussions generally focus around football and men's basketball, which bring in money, whereas most college sports already lose money. If we should pay people based solely on what they're worth then we should pay football and men's basketball players more than they currently get and take away the rest of the scholarships altogether.

They are aleady being paid...hundreds of thousands of free college. Some fans are just too dumb to understand that...as our a lot of the illiterates who play children's games.

Go back to bed clown.

Athletes get free education, room and board, travel, food and other expenses. Players can kiss my ass if they want paid. Enough is enough right. Make a minor league for football and basketball just as baseball already has then they will have a choice. Become educated or dry up in the minor leagues because you actually suck.

So we have a bunch of ignoramous hatemongers who have never done anything for any school (by the look of their texts never attended one), never sacrificed a minute for anyone else for anything, who want young men to come to your school, risk their lives and long term health to play, so you can pound your chest, yell shout, bet, cheer, hate, etc. and you don't want them to get any of the millions they are earning for the schools because they get a fake paper "scholarship" that may not actually get them through four years and doesn't mean they can actually get to class or get a degree. Every last one of you should be banned from setting foot at any school or attending or watching any sporting event, and most of all ever posting anywhere.

But hey, I'm sure you are helping the WVU coaches that you support recruit, right?

The lake of fire won't be big enough for the lot of you.

Hey Bucky Wucky you dope...you're using the same words in another thread with your idiot TVZ alter. Go help Bumbling Joe climb some stairs.

Stop watching college sports.

Stop going to games and do not donate to the university.
