"We get turned down by better looking girls than the ones you have sex with" said the wvu fan.

And the mighty eers have yet to beat a team in the top half of FBS.

WVU has beaten two Top 100 teams, while Marshall has beaten ZERO. WVU's win against Georgia Southern is better than any win Marshall will have, this season.

Also, WVU's worst loss is to #18 Oklahoma State, in overtime. Marshall's worst loss is against #72 Ohio.

I don't blame you for changing the subject...

As I pointed out, bragging about the teams that beat you is like bragging about the women you hit on that shut you down and laughed in your face (something I'm sure you understand). Marshall may be bangin' a few 3s and 4s and an occasion 6 or 7, but we're getting some almost every night (24 out of the last 27).

Keep making excuses..

Do me a favor dolt, reread my post and point out exactly which part could be construed as an excuse for anything. First, to have it be an excuse I would need to feel something needed to be explained away and I simply don't. Even if that was the case, nothing in the paragraph I typed attempts to give justification for anything, it's just asserts my take that I would rather beat a bad team than lose to a good one. Only losers take pride in losing, regardless of the opponent.

That's the problem with a lot of you Walmart wvu fans. You don't have the intelligence to actually have any fun with. When you have to stop to explain every post it gets a little boring. In all honesty I think WV-FAN, Stoney, and very few others are actually smart enough to even understand what a smack board should be. The rest of you guys offer nothing. Nothing you type is intelligent, clever, funny or certainly not thought provoking. You're basically a waste of bandwidth and nothing else.

and banker, you think that the perverted stuff the mooU fans post here is even slightly funny?

Not even wasting my time on that big ol' wall of excuses...

If there were 225 FBS teams, Marshall still wouldn't have a win in the upper half of FBS.

Banker, don't you know football is no longer about winning for Err fans. It's who you play.

Participation trophies are handed out to mountainERRs at the end of the season.

In clown car country beating hs teams counts because winning is all that matters

And yet, here you are, day after day. Seems you must be getting some kind of stimulation from being on the board.

Your whole post is an excuse for Marshall. You consistently give justification for Marshall's weak schedule. You can keep trying to convince us (and yourself, presumably) that you aren't doing either of those things, but we (and I'm sure you, although you don't want to admit it) can see what you are doing.

While you are attempting to insult us for not understanding your point and what you're doing, the exact opposite is true. We see right through what you don't want to admit to yourself.

"I'm happy with Marshall playing nothing but shitty teams so we can win"
"I don't Marshall to sit at the adult table, because then we might lose"

That is the biggest loser mentality there could possibly be. You might fail, so don't even try.
And yes, it IS an excuse for your program and it IS justification for your weak schedule. No matter how much you try to convince anybody that it isn't.

Banker is nothing more than a random excuse generator...

Whitetail, no Marshall fan has control over what conference we are in. There's little that can be done about the schedule when 8 games a year are predetermined.

I guess you could argue that we should schedule Alabama, Ohio State, Southern Cal and FSU every year in non conference, but unfortunately we can't seem to get that worked out and, if we could, I wouldn't be really excited about only having 4 home games a year.

We really can't help either that ECU, Houston, Memphis, etc left the conference. It is what it is, but by budget and resources, we are in a conference with a peer group of similar programs with an exception for Charlotte (not sure why they were invited).

Marshall's place in college football is understood by the fanbase. Our goal is to win our conference and maintain a position among the elite teams at the G5 level. Our ultimate goal is the one access spot that 63 teams are competing for each year.

It's eer fans that seem to have issues with reality. Your goal should be to win the conference and compete for one of the 4 playoff spots. You have the resources to do that. Instead it's like you guys are just happy to be here. You want to win, but if you don't it's no big deal because you get to lose to schools that deep down you know are just better than you. After being beat to death for 4 years all you have left to make you feel better is to try and compare yourself to a school with a third of your budget playing in a G5 conference. We are your new measuring stick.

All very good reasons to not be here trying to compare yourselves to us ... and yet here you are doing that very thing.

Marshall has NEVER been our measuring stick and never will be.

As for "just happy to be here" ... there have been a lot of the fanbase wanting to have Dana fired for 2 years or more now. Nobody is happy with JUST being here. What we are happy about is to be in a conference that will challenge us to become better while also providing the payout to make the necessary changes to more regularly compete on the national scale.

If anybody is "just happy to be here", it is Marshall and the FBS. The proof is in your conference and in your non-conference opponents. You have no interest in playing the Ohio State, the Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Florida State types of schools. You'll just stick with the #75-#150 ranked teams and be content with thinking you're playing with the "big boys".

I live in the Huntington area and I won't pay the $15 dollars to see the shitty teams you play. It's pathetic. If you would schedule someone decent and it didn't conflict with a WVU game, I most certainly would go.

We've played Ohio State twice in the last 11 years including just 4 years ago. We played 4 games against VT, 7 against you guys, 3 against Kansas State, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Tennessee, 2 against Miami, 1 against Louisville with another next year, 2 scheduled with Pitt, 2 scheduled with NC State.

To say we won't, or don't want to, play those teams is a strawman. We have shown that we will and do want to play them. We will, however, not play them all on the road. Out of those 26 or 27 games listed, only 7 will be home games. It's not financially possible for us to continue deals like that. Hence our AD's stand on 1 for 1 deals.

Oh, and the reason I'm here is to just make sure you guys know that you are insignificant among your 65 team peer group.

Pull the string and an excuse comes out...

The 65 team peer group you are talking about do not schedule WVU as a tune up game and would not take WVU lightly!!!...banker you are a hoot!!

And you don't want to play them anymore because you lose. You'd rather win against nobody than to step up to the big boy table and risk getting beat again. Of course, that doesn't really work either when you lose to teams like WKU and Ohio ... P5 tune-up games.

He won't like that big ol' mouthful of truth. The string has been pulled. Which excuse will come out...

Yeah, if that was accurate then I would be upset, but it's not. We have P5 teams on our schedule over the next several years.

Yeah, if that was accurate then I would be upset, but it's not. We have P5 teams on our schedule over the next several years.

But not nearly as many as we do ... and I'm only talking OOC games. You have 4 per year and we only have 3, yet we have more than twice the number of P5 teams scheduled OOC.

Because you are pussies and play a pussy schedule ... and then try bragging about the number of wins.

We have 2 OOC P5 games next year. How many do you have?

We have Missouri and BYU next year. P5 and a P5 worthy independent. Almost any P5 conference expansion talk includes BYU. It's a neutral site game too.

I understand why you don't want to look past next year though ... your pussitudity really shines

BYU is not in a P5 conference. It's another lower grade neutral site game. What was the problem, James Madison not have an open date? Do you play a FCS next year?
