Is anyone else having a hard time getting excited about the coming season?
It seems like we are in a vicious cycle of just trying to be good enough to survive the
politics of conference realignments and new era football.
Its just seems like we are trying to win 8 games as a goal. Thats good but
I would rather sacrifice a season to build a team capable of being great.
Being undefeated, being in the playoff being in the championship game.
That doesn't seem to be our direction. We are to afraid of having a few bad seasons and
falling of the political road map. Yes it;s a catch 22. We have to win to recruit but at some point
you have to let go of the reins and let the horse run or you will always finish in a safe spot
in the middle of the field. We are in a very difficult position.
