The Reds are going to be terrible. Whether you choose to believe them or not, the front office bean counters have made it be known that lost gate revenue resulting from the pandemic has forced the Reds to trim payroll. The Reds traded their closer for a scrub relief pitcher by the name of Noe Ramirez, who the Reds just waived the other day. In other words, the Reds gave away their closer for absolutely nothing, simply because he made something like $6-7 million/year, which actually isn't a lot for closers these days. So, he's gone, as is the reigning Cy Young award winner Trevor Bauer, and neither has been replaced by a reliable pitcher. As you may recall, the Reds offense was historically awful last season, and no meaningful changes have been made. This all adds up to a very bad season, and 100+ losses would not surprise me. Because the A.L. schedule is against the bad Central Division again, however, I'm thinking around 70-92, if all 162 games are played.
