Mac Stephens and he told me that Cleveland Heights (Oh.) offensive lineman Maurice Hamilton has really come a long way in his development. He knew him as a 370-pound eighth grader that has really put in a ton of work to develop himself as an offensive lineman and get his body and conditioning in a much better place. He's at about 335-pounds now and the expectation is that he will be around 325-pounds when the season begins. He is obviously very strong benching 400-pounds and squatting over 500-pounds, but what has truly set him apart is his athleticism and his feet. He actually does footwork drills with the skill players on the roster and is one of, if not the best, in that regard. He has exceptional feet for his size and has really worked to become more explosive while refining his technique. He's a classic 'big guy' so to speak in that sense that he's always happy and uplifting for his teammates and has no trouble making friends. The work he's done this off-season has been the best that Stephens has seen and believes that he has a chance to have a superior senior year with how much he has put into developing himself on the field. He believes that Hamilton and West Virginia found a great match. He is set to play guard and his strength and athleticism there should be a nasty combination.
