I’m a glutton for punishment but wanted to see the telecast version after witnessing it in person. A few observations:
1. Some things you just can’t see in person that you can on TV. Pitt looked more athletic and speedy to me, while we looked slow, and like a team built to just lean on a team for 4 quarters and hope to wear them down.
2. I don’t know what goes on in our WR room, but a big part of the reason we can’t run wide is our receivers just don’t appear to be good blockers. Not very physical.
3. On that note, why aren’t Robinson, Bray, and Gallagher getting more burn? They look like big play threats.
4. We don’t throw the ball over the middle at all. Saw zero crossing routes.
5. The coaching in the last 5 minutes was a travesty considering the fact that Pitt had multiple penalties called on them that should have put them out of contention. Our play calls were iffy at best offensively with no aggressive mentality at all.
6. The defense played well in the second half outside of the last 5 minutes where they reverted back to themselves.
