Nothing new per se but he gets it and I agree with him. Hire the best available and see what happens. Don’t settle just because you’re afraid they might leave you after a couple years. That is a possibility for every team not in the top half of the Power 2. So take your best swings at the plate and see what happens. I would add that protecting yourself contractually/financially is something you can do. It also gives you “some” indication how committed the coach is if they are/aren’t willing to agree to a larger buyout.
