The difference is WVU isn’t close to top 10 in talent. Basically Franklin gets paid a lot of money to recruit and beat teams who don’t have as much talent, but when the playing field is even he loses literally almost every time. It seems the only times he wins are the equivalent of a blind squirrel finding a nut once in awhile. Given what PSU has in NIL budget they can probably do better than Franklin.4-20 isn't a good record, but an overwhelming majority of coaches have a poor record against top 10 competition. WVU was 12-70 against top 10 teams at one point.
Like WVU fans are famous for saying, beat somebody. That may be, but his overall PSU record is 101-42.
I'd take it.
How many of those 70 were against top 10 Pitt and PSU? 60 plus?4-20 isn't a good record, but an overwhelming majority of coaches have a poor record against top 10 competition. WVU was 12-70 against top 10 teams at one point.
The last 6 years that was definitely the plea.Like WVU fans are famous for saying, beat somebody.
I don't know the answer. I'd say the Canes probably were some of them, with the majority being Penn State. For Franklin's 20, probably half of those are Ohio State and Michigan. How many of those 70 were against top 10 Pitt and PSU? 60 plus?
PSU is ranked in top 10 and still can't beat them.
