College athletes become local celebrities and many keep that status for many years after their playing days. Do you think WVU is any different from other schools in that way when you consider the way fans practically worship athletes like Major Harris and Pat White? I would assume WVU is similar to the other schools but maybe a little on the extreme side when you consider we don't have pro sports in the state or many other things that draw attention away from college sports.
