Then those wanting his dismissal are making a big mistake IMO. Use his status for PR purposes by having him talk about the offensive statement he made and why it was wrong, etc. He gets dismissed and that opportunity is gone and likely more people tune out to that discussion of offensive statements. Keep him around and he can be used as a tool to educate others. Show some tolerance to get some tolerance. If not, then don't make a fit with what you're going to get.
