I think most of us agree that Huggins really needs to pound the transfer portal this off-season. We have glaring (and immediate) needs all over our roster. From the remarks I have seen in the past, Huggs would rather not have to rely on the transfer portal. Some will say he pounded the portal this past year...and he did in numbers, but not in quality. My guess is several of us Blue Lotters could have coerced a few transfers from the likes of Old Dominion, Depaul, and FIU to come join a B12 school. I suspect guys like that are always a mere phone call away.... My question is whether this staff is willing & able to really get out there and fight for high quality transfers that can step into this program and compete on Day 1? My heart says I sure hope so. My head has doubts. My fear is that at age 68 (along with an unwillingness to bring in a few younger, hungry assistants), Huggins can't pull it off. Hope I'm wrong.
