Hedgesville (W.Va.) pass rusher Aydin Fleming told me that as soon as he got the opportunity as a preferred walk-on back at the beginning of January that West Virginia was a top option for him. In the end, the draw of playing in his home state was too much to pass up. He is coming off a season where he had 167 tackles, 23 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. The coaches want him to play box linebacker and love his instincts for the ball as well as his speed. Fleming said that the coaching staff was amazing and he had the best connection with inside linebackers coach Jeff Koonz and graduate assistant Luke Nardo. He told me that he's glad the process is over and can't wait to suit up for the Mountaineers.
