There are several teams with portal issues depleting rosters right now....you cannot really move portal window later and still give kids a chance to get enrolled at new the new school in time for 2nd semester....so get rid of all "non playoff' bowl games.
So instead of only having 12 teams playing during the holiday timeframe.... have 16 teams in the playoffs (top 4 conference champs get ranked inside of top 8 instead of top 4....so they get a first home game instead of bye)
Move bowl games to week zero and week 1 of the season ..... those games become like the chick-fil-a kickoff game.
Fans will attend because of hope for the season, all kids will play because season is still on the line.
