I think the Herd is playing for it's season Saturday at

I've had dinner at the Oliverio's in Bridgeport a number of times, but never the one in Morgantown.

Down this way there is Muriale's in Fairmont and Minards in Clarksburg also. Muriale's and Oliverio's are pretty close as far as I'm concerned but I give the not to Oliverio's. I don't recall ever having Puglioni's but I can't imagine getting much better than Oliverio's.

I would probably drive to Fairmont and eat at Muriale's if I had to make 1 choice for dinner. I recommended Oliverio's because it is in Morgantown and is probably a quick Uber or cab ride. I would not go to Puglioni's but I know Mog is high on it and others like it so I am only giving my opinion realizing that others disagree.

Muriale's is probably comparable to Rocco's in Kenova if Marine knows that place. Rocco Muriale founded Rocco's and his nephew Rocco Muriale founded Muriales in Fairmont. I think they are pretty close in recipes.

Hell yes I love Roccos

Dave, how did Colasante's compare with the ones mentioned here ? For some reason I never did eat there and then the place burned down. If they reopen I may give them a try some day,

You didn't ask me, but in my opinion Colasante's doesn't belong on the list with the others.
It wasn't bad, but Muriales and Oliverios to me are "oh my god this is ****ing great"

Colosantes was good, but not great. They have a good pizza. They had good bar food. I never tried their pasta so I can't answer to that. It will be something worth checking out once it is rebuilt. They have cleared the site and started rebuilding and they shifted the structure so there will be better parking now so I have high hopes that they are going to do a complete overhaul of what they had.

That is one opinion but not mine. I like their bread but their red sauce literally disgusts me. FWIW they may have some good food but I have been there twice and had spaghetti both times and I gave it a 2nd chance because I thought the first was a fluke. Oliverios has a lot better menu though and there are a handful of things I have had there that I loved.

I totally agree on the red sauce. Oliverios is better than Pugs. You got me there, but I don't traditionally go for the red gravy. I go for the wine/garlic sauces and Pug's shrimp scampi may be the best I've ever had.

I am the opposite. I almost always go with tomato sauce. Pugs has the best bread in town outside Phoenix bakery.
