Think about the impact of all the policy positions Trump has promoted and the results of all the policies he's put in place. Then think about how many proposals from the Left that were better or had better results? Of all those comparisons, distorting what Trump said about Windmills is all they can come up with to suggest he doesn't deserve our vote?

Hell yes they are. I was over around Mt Storm all summer at different sites. Not only are they loud and ugly, they are broke down half the time and the "green" companies that manage them build mud roads to the site and drag the mud all over everything. Most of the municipalities and local won't allow them to use their roads because they don't do anything to maintain them.
Otoh O&G build roads and upgrade existing rural roads, they maintain the roads around their infrastructure and they are happy to allow the locals to use them. It is a net benefit for locals
A couple of years ago our family drove from Atlanta out to New Mexico for my Mom's 85th birthday celebration. Moving through West Texas we saw wind farms as far as the eye could see. It was interesting but an eyesore. I was thinking no wonder folks don't want these big ugly things scarring their landscaping?

Ad long as they don't leak . 99% of the time will be zero issues with O&G as long as they are maintained properly and no steps are skipped. As a pipeline welder with 32 years experience from labor to welder I know the games the greedy bastards try and play
If we were serious about developing an abundant, cheap, reliable and yes (safe) alternative energy source, we'd be going nuclear. We can thank the environmentalist handwringers on the Left for our lack of development of more nuclear power plants.
It can be harnessed safely, and the power they generate is not only cheap but virtually unlimited.

Safe ..... maintaining is not cheap . Not meaning to sound like a liberal but corporate don't care about safe . No fee lunch .... energy is gonna cost energy users....
It's more expensive than it should be because it's so highly regulated. The US Navy's submarine fleet is virtually all nuclear powered. So are our spy satellites. It can be done, but government has to get out of the way and let the free market develop the low cost delivery options that are technologically available.
If Japan and France can have half of their power generation done by nuclear powered plants, why can't we here in America?

I'm all for the cheapest, best and safest energy source we can have and I'm all for multiple sources.
Correct me if I'm wrong one of the few responsibilities of government is to provide safe means of commerce? Making sure we have ample e energy would fit that requirement. I think
I actually think we're fine for now just using fossil fuels. Just don't buy all the carbon hype fear porn burning oil, coal, or natural gas.
Coal and natural gas are both cheap and in abundant supply. Using current technology we can burn both cleanly and effciently. If we went back to drilling our own oil and not depending on Foerign sources, using all 3 could easily fit our energy needs for the foreseeable future until nuclear, solar, or some alternative is safely, successfully and cheaply developed. Drill Baby drill!
