If he was going to use a search firm because of obviously doing this last year, but he told me this. I know Baker has used multiple firms in the past, but given the leg work here I was interested to see his reply.
"Yeah, I haven't decided that yet. We'll probably try to decide that by the end of the day.
Obviously, having done this last year, I think I have a pretty good handle on the candidate pool. But, you know, the search firms just are really great to help coordinate a lot of logistics. And you're working maybe plan A, B, and C, maybe you have three to four, but you're so focused on those three to four, you're not necessarily working on those contingency plans.
And a lot of times they're working ahead of you in case that you need them. You hope you don't have to break glass and need those plans, but it's, you know, if they're already kind of hatched before you get there, that helps. So I'll make that decision sometime today, still kind of thinking through that."
