now let all the mindless "cincinnatti" bs start all over.......anyone who thinks that Huggs doesn't deserve to be there doesn't know much basketball
speaking of shame I heard belyin doing commentary the other night....hope he doesn't quit his day jobHe's where he belongs . . .
The Hall of Shame
Sad commentary by you. Beilein does almost as good of a job on the B1G network breaking down hoops, as Urban Meyer was doing breaking down the 'x's & o's' during the B1G/FOX Sports network shows. Who are the experts on the Big XII network? Oops, sorry, I forgot. You cater to the Longhorn Network and ESPN PLUS.speaking of shame I heard belyin doing commentary the other night....hope he doesn't quit his day job
more evidence that you are high...and I don't watch either of those piss ant networksSad commentary by you. you and m herd are sharing the same pipeBeilein = Best coach to ever coach a team at Morganhole U.
He's won a lot of games to be sure but what's he got to show for it? One Final Four at UC , one at WVU and no banners. I'll let the rest of the board go into his off the court baggage. But if I had a vote I'd most likely vote for him!now let all the mindless "cincinnatti" bs start all over.......anyone who thinks that Huggs doesn't deserve to be there doesn't know much basketball
Huggs could have had NBA contracts had he wanted. He turned down ar least 2 to stay in Cincinnati.Appearances in NCAA Championship Game: Beilein 2, tHuggs 0
Power 5 Championships (regular season or tournament): Beilein 4, tHuggs 1
NBA contracts: Beilein 1, tHuggs 0
your man crush on The Bear is showing again....why the anger....did he rebuff your "advances" at some point?Congrats, Dave: You have won today's "woulda, coulda, shoulda" championship! In all serious, I've heard this rumor before, but never seen proof of it. I chock this up as a Mountaineer myth, along with the unproven theory that if Kenyon Martin hadn't been injured, then tHuggs would have won the National Championship, which is something that tHuggs never did before and has never done since.
And the whole world was waiting with baited breath for you to have heard this before....Congrats, Dave: You have won today's "woulda, coulda, shoulda" championship! now you KNOW you can't believe anything that Huggs players have ever said...they are just as bad as he is........of course you can ALWAYS believe anything and everything that emanates from Columbus.......Zac Smith never touched his wife......Urban was really sick......Art didn't gamble.......Woody was just complimenting that Clemson player with a pat on the cheekAnd the whole world was waiting with baited breath for you to have heard this before....
His former players have discussed it publically. They asked him to stay. He stayed.
Being informed is your obligation, not anyone elses. If you choose ignorance that is all you.
Stay on topic for once in your pathetic life, you old p.o.s. The Old Fold & Blew's athletic programs take more questionable characters than Ohio State does because you are desperate to compete at a high level in the Power 5. Derek Culver, WVU's best player, was an Ohio four-star recruit, who didn't get a sniff from Ohio State because he was such a train wreck in high school that he got kicked off of his team. Catlett once welcomed Craig Simpson with open arms after Ohio State had kicked him of the team. tHuggs took Gabe in after Arkansas had given him the boot for character issues. I could go on and on, but you're not worth it.now you KNOW you can't believe anything that Huggs players have ever said...they are just as bad as he is........of course you can ALWAYS believe anything and everything that emanates from Columbus.......Zac Smith never touched his wife......Urban was really sick......Art didn't gamble.......Woody was just complimenting that Clemson player with a pat on the cheek
Stick to orange cone-dropping, as your debate skills are third-grade level. The alleged comments of anonymous ex-players who loved tHuggs because he took a chance on them, as they had character issues and/or failing grades, don't prove anything. Tell me which NBA teams actually offered tHuggs a contract, and give me a primary source for this information. General rumors aren't proof of anything, other than that you're an idiot for believing them without more. And the whole world was waiting with baited breath for you to have heard this before....

He should be and eventually will be......other coaches with far less success are already there...there is obviously some bias there....why should I retract anything? On topic:
It’s too bad all these posters on this board have to go back on TV and retract their claims that Huggins is a HOF coach.
Start with you Sled, retract during tonight’s first round Big12 and SportsCenter.
You should of known better.
Good God, the Glenville State flunkie can't understand the West Virginia State grad's pathetic attempt at humor. It sucks that my tax dollars go to such low-level institutions. He should be and eventually will be......other coaches with far less success are already there...there is obviously some bias there....why should I retract anything?

the dumbest Glenville grad would have no problems at ahia state......would probably be top 10 in their class.....that's if they can keep from being robbed or slapped by a coachGood God, the Glenville State flunkie can't understand the West Virginia State grad's pathetic attempt at humor. P.S. Active coaches apparently have difficulty in making it to the Hall of Fame, unless they have at least one national title.
good...cause you would lose....againI'm not even going to argue with somebody so delusional that he compares Glenville State to Ohio State, sorry.
Thus my point is: Who on this board said that Huggins is a HOF coach?Dumb pandering post, Coach Westsider. You're either a Hall of Fame coach or you aren't. Your daughter is either pregnant or she isn't. Make your next post a little less sarcastic and a little more witty.
SlowHead and Dave for starters. The fan boys at WV Metro News love to say it.Thus my point is: Who on this board said that Huggins is a HOF coach?
I have said he is a FUTURE hof coach and that his stats and record are better than several who are already in.....would you like to make a wager that he doesn't make it?SlowHead and Dave for starters. The fan boys at WV Metro News love to say it.
I say again....prove that he cheated....when and whereOh, I think that he'll make it...as long as he doesn't get arrested or caught cheating again...or has another period of time when none of his players graduate, as had happened at U.C. at one point. As I posted before, active coaches with no titles apparently don't often make it while they're still coaching, but the bar is lowered, post-retirement.
I almost lit stupid a$$ Travis Jones up a few Sundays ago. Because he grew up in Parkersburg, a border town, he is extremely jealous of Ohio State. He said after having watched the Michigan/Ohio State game that "WVU obviously could beat either one of those teams." I would have understood his comment, if he had said it last week, but not right after having watched an epic game played between two teams playing their best ball at the time. Greg Hunter is a total Old Fold & Blewtard, who has lost any objectivity that he ever had, and Caridi pretends that he never attended Syracuse, which has a richer history than WVU. Brad Howe, who disses his home state of Iowa, correctly refers to himself as "Johnny Mountaineer," and I'll be interested to see how his preseason prediction that WVU will make it to the Final Four works out. I like Howe's gambling shows when he's not babbling about how great WVU is.Let us know the date you call up the metro news sports line so we can all listen to the podcast and hear how you set them straight.
You certainly have a right to an opinion who you think is the best coach. I do have a question though; If Coach Belien was a better coach to have coached at WVU and you are going by numbers, how many conference championships (regular season or tournament) and final 4 appearances has Coach Belien had versus Coach Huggs at WVU? Considering WVU is a small state with limited recruiting in state and not considered a blue blood, I would think your best coaching would be how you fair at that school when who was the best coach at WVU. Just curious as to why you left those comparisons out.Appearances in NCAA Championship Game: Beilein 2, tHuggs 0
Power 5 Championships (regular season or tournament): Beilein 4, tHuggs 1

Ok. So I am hearing Huggs took Belien’s players further than Belien could with his own system still in place. Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!Huggins made his only Final Four at WVU with some of Beilein's players, including Butler, who was the "go-to-guy." He also used Beilein's unusual 1-3-1 zone defense that season. Beilein had to resurrect a program in shambles, and Huggins was given the keys to a sports car, albeit a Chevy Camaro, and not a Lamborghini. Beilein proved at Michigan that he could take a team further than Huggins, and did it twice. None of this means that Huggins isn't the best coach for WVU that WVU could hire now. He's done the best at WVU that anybody could reasonably expect.
