I have always believed, to a large part, that its players and not the coaching that gets you wins. I don't think Kirby Smart is a brilliant coach - I think UGA has $ and resources to recruit 10 NFLers each year plus NFL-type transfers. Thus, UGA wins.

But for us, it has to be different. RR runs a spread offense which focuses on the running game and controlling possessions. Jacksonville State had like 1000 rushing TDs this year. It is not an offense that QBs and WRs would really want to be a part of if they want to have numbers to go to the NFL. It is not a traditional offense that perhaps OL even want to be a part of because of the blocking schemes, although alot of teams run the spread now.

Of course, that is not to say that no WR can be successful here. We have seen RR's put up good numbers. But their targets and opportunities will be limited.

Here is my point. Even if RR's offense is not going to attract stud QBs and WRs, I believe the offense is still the offense we need at WVU. We need an offense than can run the ball with QBs and RBs, get first downs and keep the clock running. RR's offenses have always put up points, but as important, that is the best way to protect the defense.

Don't panic if WRS leave and we don't replace them with top talent. We need to spend the $ elsewhere.
