Respectfully, WOW

Unless he didn't commit.
He re-upped his commitment the other day. Said he's signing regardless of who the coach is.

I wouldn't mind keeping Matt Moore and Andrew Jackson. Hopefully the new staff can find a place for them.

His lines have been really good the past two years. Well, really good last year and good this year. People forget the shit salad he was left with up front outside Colton McKivitz. They had to go young and develop guys which takes a lot of time up front.
You liked the OL play this year? It seemed inconsistent.

He’s been okay in my opinion. Not good enough for me to want to retain him. But maybe under someone else he could be better

I thought for what it was it was a solid unit. I didn't like the talent this year nearly as much especially at center, but it was more than good enough to win with.

I see my guy Caesar as an Early enrollie!!

I am in awe of the results today...has to be the first time in history a team kept so many and added with a fired HC and no new coach named

Good group, Still climbing but in West Virginia there’s mountains and hollers

If WVU can keep the Oline room it already has together I really think the new coach is heading into a great spot.
Today has me feeling too positive and thinking we might keep our RBs

Keeping Tomas Rimac has to be a priority. You need at least one guy that has been around and has experience, regardless if we’re going to be implementing a new system. He’s quietly been one of the better lineman we’ve had over recent years. He just has been overshadowed by the quality of guys like Frazier and Milum. A starting 5 of
Williams
Rimac
Altuner
Weidman/Krahe
Bausley

Not a ton of experience there, but a ton of upside.

It’s about as good of an OL that we can have after losing 6 of your top 7 OL from the past 2 years.

I was wrong about Moore a couple years ago. I'm not saying he's irreplaceable, but he's not the problem. We talked about McKivitz.I watched him play several times at Union Local and wouldn't have imagined him playing at West Virginia. I think Johnny Williams is the current example of developing a massive man into a tackle. Neal said he liked Johnny but he wouldn't see the field last year. He ended up getting out there a little. This year when Wyatt was out he more than held his own and he's just a RS freshman but has an NFL size body and you see the progress. Nick Malone went from a walk on to a guy who's going to get a look on an NFL roster in the summer. It won't be a problem if we keep Moore and Jackson.

Malone was solid last year.
Yates was bad as was Hubbard(comparative to others)
I think you get a lift with Altuner or Livingston at the center spot. If Altuner doesn’t get the center spot then he’ll get the guard spot and we’ll get better there too. We’ll miss Milum a ton, but if I have to replace him then Williams is the best I could hope for. Dude could be a monster. If it works out like that…..I am very pleased.

This is all coinciding with what Wren said yesterday. We want to leave enough talent to secure a roster for the next head coach. This as good as it will get. I’m excited to see what we do in the portal.

I think they had bodies to create some competition and really didn't and I feel like that is why development of that position took so long. You had a really strong piece in Frazier to build around in 2020 and we added some really good pieces in 2021. I know it takes some time but competition expedites that. I feel like that has been a problem at any position that has been lacking.

I hate to pee in anyone’s cheerios, but there is no way to know what players are going to stay or portal. Roster building is a 365 24X7 proposition since the emergence of the portal.

I'll admit that I was wrong about Moore as well. I wanted him fired after both of his first 2 seasons. But he's done a good job since then. Last year was a great year. At least 2-3 of his players will be starting on Sunday. Maybe more.

He's not irreplaceable but I remember our last Oline coach. It could get much, much worse.
