What say you, @Boomboom521? I'd ask the others but they're against debate and want conservatives silenced.

I'd like to see one defend it . I'd love to hear about voter suppression. What say you, @Boomboom521? I'd ask the others but they're against debate and want conservatives silenced.
Personally, there should be a lot of voter suppression for anybody who voted for this POSI'd like to see one defend it . I'd love to hear about voter suppression.
Govt of systemic racism? How about only people who filed a tax return be allowed to vote.I think without Federal intervention on voting procedures, we would still have a government of systemic racism. However, I think a voice is clear, it doesnt matter if that voice is fueled by nonsense, it is loud enough to warrant compromise. Cleaning voter reg roles, confirming or setting mailin vote procedures to ensure it is protected from fraud, maybe a “voter ID” issued by the State and sent to the voter (to avoid any issues of disenfranchisement), etc….
I think, like everything else, this has become another wedge issue - For voter restrictions? Your racist, and in support of voter suppression. Against them? You are blind to rampant corruption, and aiding a fraudulent government.
I have read some information on voter id laws being suppressing in nature, and there is some legitimate issues that center around money and time that make sense. But the number change really seems to be mostly about people not turning out, because they didn’t want to go through the additional steps. So it is hard to defend, as such a horrible issue. Maybe in time, we could see these laws become tailored towards suppression, but i dont think that extreme outcome is what is being sought.
But I will say that I dont like seeing memos circulated about circumventing the transfer of power (based on assumption) amongst the executive branch, and i dont like hearing a President asking a party member in charge of elections in a State to “find” votes. Aside from that, I want every American to believe their vote is secure and that it matters.
Yes, there was systemic racism in many places in the South during Jim Crow for example. Voter ID laws were a huge part of that, and i dont blame some people for being uneasy about a wave of new restrictions - when all you hear is that it is about suppression and racism. Just like I dont blame people for wanting tighter restrictions - when all you hear is that the Presidential election was fraudulent.Govt of systemic racism? How about only people who filed a tax return be allowed to vote.
A Govt of systemic racism? We currently have a black VPOTUS and 2 Presidents ago, we had a black POTUS. Not too mention, we have a very large black and Hispanic caucuses.I think without Federal intervention on voting procedures, we would still have a government of systemic racism. As long as the law affects all how can it be racist? Unless you believe people of color cant do itYes, there was systemic racism in many places in the South during Jim Crow for example. Question: are you confident that every Republican across the nation filing these new bills are not seeking to suppress the minority vote?
Id say there might be a few, but not a lot at all.
I don’t think it’s suppressing the minority vote as much as it is suppressing what I believe to be suppressing massive fraud within the minority communities.Yes, there was systemic racism in many places in the South during Jim Crow for example. I didnt say we HAVE one, I said we would STILL have one. Are you denying the existence of racist laws suppressing minority votes throughout governments in the South that prompted the Voting Rights Act of 1965????A Govt of systemic racism? We currently have a black VPOTUS and 2 Presidents ago, we had a black POTUS. Not too mention, we have a very large black and Hispanic caucuses.
It’s statements like these of extreme ignorance on why you all can’t be taken seriously.
Are you talking about Jim Crow laws? Or voter laws now, because it is a different answer. As long as the law affects all how can it be racist? Unless you believe people of color cant do it
Which was my point, we need compromise on this issue. I dont think racism has one spec of anything to do with your position. And I think that is true for the great majority of Pubes putting these laws up for vote in the States.I don’t think it’s suppressing the minority vote as much as it is suppressing what I believe to be suppressing massive fraud within the minority communities.
Jim crow was a different time in history...talking now . No reason for federal to be stepping in .Are you talking about Jim Crow laws? Or voter laws now, because it is a different answer.
I took your comments as present day, not historically, 60 years ago. We’ve also fully integrated the military, integrated professional sports, have black billionaires and CEOs of companies, more black millionaires than the rest of the world combined, put men on the moon, developed the Internet, launched civilians into space for profit, won the cold war, and have been embroiled in 40 years of conflict with radical Islam since then. Quite a bit has changed since 60 years ago.I didnt say we HAVE one, I said we would STILL have one. Are you denying the existence of racist laws suppressing minority votes throughout governments in the South that prompted the Voting Rights Act of 1965????
Because that is what i was referencing, and if you think that is not true - you are the one coming with extreme ignorance.
Suppress minority vote? How about suppress illegal voting. That's all it's about.Yes, there was systemic racism in many places in the South during Jim Crow for example. Voter ID laws were a huge part of that, and i dont blame some people for being uneasy about a wave of new restrictions - when all you hear is that it is about suppression and racism. Biggest problem in this country is the intellectual left. That and no more deep fried apple pies at McDonaldsI took your comments as present day, not historically, 60 years ago. That we’re still trying to dredge up racism as a foundation for any single argument in this country is ridiculous. It says more about the intellectually laziness of the argument trying to be bolstered than it does in any foundation of racism. We do not have a racism problem in this country.
