I have an answer, and it's fairly simple.
Trump's 'crime' was being President, and hurting the feelings of those on the left. The farther left, the farther the feelings were hurt.

I actually don’t have a problem with anyone who doesn’t like Trump as a person. Everyone has the right to vote for whoever they want. The problem I have is the attempt to target Trump with a made up crime to put him in jail and/or disqualify him from running for office. That is the crime in my opinion. Interfering in an election
