No crappy drive home for me.

We're not a top ten team...but still fun to watch (from the comfort of home).

Cruise control until The Dance.

each game is different. not a top 25 team today. glad we didnt play marshall today; would have been crushed.

this team is tired and hurt.

We were not a top 10 team against Texas (both games) either.

you're not seeing that wvu isn't alone in this. every team has had several wtf games

My point being... ...we're closer to 20'ish.

Still very good...but not quite elite.

ok. give me your top 20

Well... ...1-9 is all the other Big 12 teams... ...then all our out of conference foes. How many is left before I get to WVU at 20?

....oh, my rankings are based on "true fan" previous posts....

first off I see little shame in losing to No. 3 who had been No. 1 & has the likely National Player of the Year.

otherwise, have to agree on the notion...who then are the top 20 teams?

Oklahoma - had lost 3 of four heading into today, 2 games against unranked. In no way does that make them unworthy. See today.
Texas - got beat by Baylor in Austin today. Same TX that Swept WVU, beat UNC, I-State, at Baylor, etc.
Iowa lost to Penn State. Same Iowa who swept Mich State.
Maryland was swept by 2 unranked teams. But to be fair has 22 wins, 1 over Iowa.
list goes on and on and has since the season tipped in November.

to me, it's more about the resume & NCAA seed. I'll take those numbers over a regular season ranking. now the final ranking is a neat nod of respect and barometer.

WVU is a high quality, highly respected team playing in the midst of a stretch of 6 of 7 games vs ranked opponents, quality teams, tough teams, however best described. so far we are 2-3 vs that gauntlet.

I don't see this as a wtf game. They just came out and beat us on our home court. They simply outplayed us. That's what happened.

Come BIG DANCE time if things line up we have a legit shot at the Sweet 16. Then all it takes is one win to be in the Elite 8. Or we could lose in the first round.

We have the players who, on the right night, can beat Top Ten teams. But we don't quite have the players, and the offense, to be a "consistent" Top Ten team. And yet ... we could make a run at the Elite 8 or higher.

yeh, i get it. you're saying we are like everyone else not overflowing with mcdonalds-all-americans - pretty much all but a few teams, or less.

btw, ou and texas could both lose in the first round.

It's cliched but true, WV could still be a nightmare match-up for the Big Dance with all the things it can impose when rolling on all cylinders. One thing we still have is no truly bad losses along with a pretty quality resume of wins. Last year WV took some big thumpings, but still turned in a banner season.

A real neutral court, we're going to be hard to beat. The team competes & has critical ingredients for success in the NCAAs.

I sorry but the polls say WVU is a top 10 team and have been most of the season. I think I will take their word instead of some random person.
