Loganville (Ga.) Grayson 2022 cornerback Mumu Bin-Wahad received an offer from West Virginia a few days ago but has actually been talking with the coaches for over a year. While you'd think that would be a bad thing, it actually is the opposite for Bin-Wahad who really prioritizes relationships. He has really gotten to know all of the coaches over that time lead by head coach Neal Brown and secondary coach Jahmile Addae. He really likes how it is a family-oriented program and has really connected with the coaches outside of football. He hasn't visited campus yet, but he is really excited to do so. Right now, West Virginia is one of two schools standing out along with TCU and they are in that position for the same reason with the family-like atmosphere. Bin-Wahad is coming off a season where he finished with 30 tackles, 4 interceptions and 17 pass breakups and on the field coaches like how versatile he can be. He could end up at cornerback, safety, nickel or even as a hybrid outside linebacker given his speed, physicality and coverage skills. That has really made him stand out to schools. He is talking with a lot more than what have offered already and he told me that he will ultimately make his college choice with how he can be developed and where he can find the right fit academically.
