Geno Smith returns to practice, won't press charges against IK Enemkpali

Geno Smith will not press charges against IK Enemkpali, the former Jets linebacker who broke Smith's jaw when he punched Smith in the locker room four weeks ago. The altercation was reportedly over the cost of a plane ticket.

Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall has since said that Smith "did nothing wrong," while cornerback Darrelle Revis is holding both Smith and Enemkpali responsible.

Regardless, Smith is out 6-10 weeks. But for the first time since having surgery to repair the damage, he participated in position drills on Monday. In Smith's place, Ryan Fitzpatrick has taken over starting quarterback duties.

As for Enemkpali, he was snagged by Rex Ryan and the Bills after leaving the Jets. But Enemkpali didn't stick around in Buffalo, as he failed to survive roster cuts last week. He's currently a free agent.

Smart (and really, the only logical) move by Geno......even if some case can be made that I.K.E. criminally attacked him (which I have no idea is/isn't the case). But Lord knows, the last thing he needs is for the media circus surrounding the situation to re-ignite (and which, regrettably, will probably pick-up again when he's ready to come back anyway).

Plus IK was cut by Buffalo, hes about to be working at Walmart, no need to take what little money he made over his brief career.
