The NWS is predicting 3-5 in. for the Charleston area with a whole lot more in the S.E. part of the state.
As for the coastal areas of N.C., those creeks and sounds fill up from the storm surge, then get all the flooding from upstate. It could be weeks before all that water goes down.
And I was looking forward to eating at that shrine of BBQ, Wilber's, on the eastern outskirts of Goldsboro on this trip. Whole hog smoked over a wood pit in the Eastern Carolina style. Nothin' better.
