First shoe.....

Some people are just out of line. The things they say about DH are borderline or even actual slander.

Everyone wants more wins--including the coaches. At the same time you have to have some realistic perspective. WVU is facing the toughest four game stretch in all of college football right now. Every team ranked--two in the top five in the country. There are two losses on the season among all of these teams. One of them--OSU--WVU took into overtime before losing unfortunately. So WVU is now 3-3 with 6 games left in the regular season.

Anything can occur in these next several games --far too early to be calling people trying to give you wins names, and declaring that they must be fired. Its not like they are playing a bunch of scrubs.

The BIG 12 is a very difficult conference. People have been trying to explain that to some numbskulls but they just can't understand that. The program needs to keep recruiting depth and a very high level of talent and that is not something that happens easily in Morgantown WV. If you've been to other schools in the region you'll understand this. In its region WVU is recruiting against schools like Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Kentucky and a host of others --all of which have far more resources, are in areas with lots of wealthy people which reflects on the towns and cities, and without the stigma of WV. Rather than hate daily on their programs, the fans respect the coaching staffs even if they aren't winning every game.

Some of you need to get a grip and lose the hate. WVU isn't playing UConn, USF, Temple and a MAC school anymore. It takes time and you don't toss it out the window because top level teams beat you sometimes. Look at Texas--they have all the recruiting and top level talent and money in the world and aren't having any more success. A few players here or there will make the difference and time.

I think most coaches would look at what Dana's done and know they probably couldn't get much better results.

The rise of TCU and Baylor has made this an incredibly tough conference. We won 7 games last season. If we went the easy road and scheduled a cupcake for our season opener instead of Alabama, it would have been 8. I don't feel the program is in that bad of shape.
Why havent we risen? If TCU and Baylor can there is NO excuse for WVU not to step it up.

When we first were in the Big East 1993 etc. Tat league had a lot of good teams. Miami, Virginia TEch, BC was having good years. We won in 93, and other times. Hey we played Kansas and ISU last year. That didnt turn out so well did it?

They found good coaches and stuck with them and play in a talent rich state.

According to your logic, every program should "rise", because - hey, Baylor and TCU did it, so it must be easy.

They are better now but WVU has been playing better football for decades.

Like it or not, we have "risen". 3 BCS bowls ain't easy to get (and being one game awyay from the national championship) and that's reflective on our program, despite Baylor being better than we are, right now.

Apparently, Baylor is better than every single team in the country except Ohio State - so I guess we aren't alone.
