WVSPORTS.COM Donaldson to the portal

Kansas will be strong in 2025
As strong as this years 5-7 team?

7 players in transfer portal
29 players graduated

That's a pretty big loss. The best plus for them is Jalen Daniels says he's returning. They have signed 11 in transfer portal and 15 freshman out of high school.

5 seniors can return but 3 have stated they will not. Not as strong as you think. Besides I listed as possible. That's no guarantee.

If Rod doesn't win 7 he needs to watch his back.

Yes, Kansas has built a very strong program. Having a healthy Daniels, they will contend for Big 12 championship in my view.

He was healthy this past season. He likes throwing those INT's as much as he does TD's. They were suppose to contend this year but didn't. But then again Utah was picked to be first, K.State 2nd, Oklahoma State 3rd with Arizona 4th. Only one that finished where they were predicted was WVU.

He will barely touch the ball. Stupid. Some have to learn the hard way.
That remains to be seen. I am sure he got money and if he can't make it in the NFL he can make as much as he can in college. I am sure his value is greater than some jacksonville State player.

I have a feeling he knew he was gonna lose his job to a transfer player from Jacksonville State.

No reason for a third year player with value to stay during a coaching change. Go cash in and that is what is happening. Isn't a hard concept.

More like "wait....I can't say I"m hurt and miss practice anymore. Crap. Gotta get out of here".
so he faked a bone fracture and surgery...the douchebaggery on this board is top shelf....the fact that OSU scouted, recruited, and paid him should be enough..but no, just have to take shots at a guy with injuries who missed games, and still managed over 2,000 yds and 30 td's

At Ohio State he will be a third down specialist back and pretty good receiver out of the back field. Poor blocking but they can fix that. Will be third string on Ohio State RB list. But there are carries available. Donaldson will surely have an opportunity to compete for plenty of playing time when he arrives at Ohio State. Freshman James Peoples is the next running back up after the Henderson and Judkins combination, and he had just 49 carries this season. Fellow freshman Sam Williams-Dixon would follow Peoples on the depth chart, although he had seven total carries in 2024. While Peoples in particular flashed his potential this season, Donaldson brings far more experience. Donaldson provides stability and some much-needed depth in the running back room.

He has 421 carries for 2,058 yards and 30 touchdowns to go with 32 catches for 190 yards and one touchdown as a receiver the last three years. He scored two touchdowns in West Virginia's bowl loss to Memphis, which was his fourth multi-touchdown game of the season.

Money is ruining college football.

Sorry that I'm not overwhelmed by 2,000 yards in 3 years behind what the "experts" said was the best OL in the Big 12. As far as his injuries, sure he had some significant ones. But under Brown, he wasn't the only player to sit out practice because of an "undisclosed injury".

right..what do those scouts from OSU know anyway?..this will also be hilarious..VA Tech just hired Matt Moore after firing Crook..if WVU doesn't get G Justice..Crook is expected to get the job.....lol

I agree to a point. I just wouldn't paintbrush all the players on the roster as soft. They aren't from what I have witnessed. Many are and they are leaving.
the rules changed since RR last coached here , there were a few unfortunate deaths around the country...practice can only be 20 hrs per week during the season and the game counts for three..this includes film, S&C, recovery(sports medicine)...only 8 hrs per week in the off season..no more pushing sleds in the dark

I understand your points, I don't understand how that relates to my comment you quoted. I'm not one that is saying Brown ran a program that was "soft" and made that point of not generalizing all the players.

just pointing out that practice isn't going to be as different as some think it is. Did you know about the physical altercation between D Mozes and R Trickett?

Let's see. He's a RB, who after his explosive freshman season has been mediocre, not rushing more than 800 yards and averaging only 4.6 yards per carry in his sophomore and junior seasons, behind what many said was the "best OL in the Big 12". How many RB's are in the portal than can put up those numbers? I'll answer for you: A LOT.
Are you saying 4.6 yards per carry is bad?

Is Chad Scott staying? I'm not opposed.

Hiring a staff, especially this time of the year, is difficult and is very fluid. I'm guessing Scott isn't RR top 2 candidates but he is high quality in both coaching and recruiting. If he is staying on, RR didn't announce him earlier as he was a fallback. Of course, they will spin it differently.

Scott wanted to be OC and call the plays. That is not happening under Rod. Not sure he will be retained.
