Do Tucker not playing smell? How much NIL money did Tucker get?

Chicken Shit reply by Devries no mention of WVU, no thank you no apologies.

This is unquestionably one of the top jobs in America. As someone who grew up in the Midwest loving the game of basketball, I've always admired the IU Basketball program for its championship-level success, tradition, and fan support," DeVries said in the school's press release. "There's a passion to succeed at the very highest levels both within the Big Ten and in the NCAA Tournament, and that's a desire that as a coach I share. On top of that, the alignment is there on a department and university level to make that happen. I'm excited for this opportunity and am ready to work relentlessly to assemble a staff and a roster that competes for championships."

I say yes. And if he did get NIL money every penny should be paid back
IMO after the win in Phog Allen without Tucker, Darian knew the season would be a success and told him to sit and save a year of eligibility in case he made a move. Now Tucker gets another payday, it makes too much sense not to have happened.

This whole deal was cooked up the first of January. Convenient, since it coinciding with the "injury" that allowed ****er, I mean Tucker, to collect NIL money from WVU and to gain another year of eligibility to go with his dad. If the Governor of WV wants to "investigate" anything, it should be to go after this fraud. Because that is what it was. FRAUD.

Yea, very suspicious the way any updates about him were guarded with maximum vagueness and then out of nowhere when the season is going well he’s magically ruled out for the year. He definitely could have come back in Feb IMO, which would have then forced the committee to give us our deserved 6 seed lol.

Devries and son did the Mounties dirty. I’m sure IU and he were talking well before the season ended, most likely early 2025. He better win early and often at IU or they’ll kick his as$ down the road in 4 yrs. Hopefully it’s a size 12 or 13 right up the ol keister.

I thought it was Iowa that was talking to him mid season and told Tucker to sit. Man that story has legs and moves.

College sports is a business, not a loyalty contest. Tucker had surgery. He was not only hurt but injured and had surgery. They keep the news as secret as possible for many reasons but the biggest one is his future earnings and draft status, whenever that might be.

Devries righted the ship and gave us a good year by exceeding almost every expectation. He is moving on to greener pastures in his eyes. He owes WVU nothing but money on the contract which is happening. WVU basketball will recover and be even stronger with another good hire by Baker. If you care for WVU, you need to quit acting like a 13 year old watching their first love kiss another boy. This won't be the last time a coach or player turns his back on the program they just spent the past year with. It is how the world turns until there are some changes with how the system works. Until then, individuals will do what they feel is right for them with all the freedom that is available. And the ones acting out the most are the people that would act just like these college professionals if they had the opportunity and you know it.

February 4, 2025, ****er DeVries (I mean Tucker) is declared out for the remainder of the season.

February 7, 2025, Mike Woodson announced he would be stepping down at IU. So go back 7-14 days prior to that and that is probably when the IU athletic direction and Woodson had discussions about his future. I would say that is probably the time period when someone reached out to contact DeVries.

Do the timeline.....not hard to see the connections. Iowa was used by DeVries to get Indiana to act quickly.

Can't do one year contracts as you will never attract or hire a decent coach. You write contracts with financial protections as what was done. That part of the system is working.

No doubt about it. The donk admitted as much in his presser at iu. This was in the works and his boy gets another year. What a snakey bunch they are.

I was being half assed sarcastic. It's been 80 years since WVU has had a 1 and done coach.

We had a girls basketball coach leave after 1 season 2 years ago. We had a men's basketball coach leave after a few days before hiring Beilein

I'm a WVU fan and the girls team is important. Girls basketball is growing faster than the men's. Girls March Madness last year out performed the men. The AD is responsible for all programs and hiring of coaches. Wren Baker would disagree with your comment.

Form your perception around your preconceived opinion which isn't new in this world. Fact remains fact.

And the timeline allows IU the time to fully work the portal to add players to go with TD. We saw the negative side of timing when we had to replace BH and we had no time to get a new coach or mine the portal.

Exactly. This time around the new coach can hit the portal on time and not have to worry about scraping the bottom of the bucket. Just hope they have enough NIL money to get decent players.

My comment was that no one was talking about the girls team when they mentioned WVU has not had a one and done basketball coach in 80 years. You brought up the girls team to rebut that as if it mattered to the conversation, which it did not. You are the one putting up a straw man and knocking it down.

Caitlin Clark had a little bit to do with that, yes it’s growing but no way the women’s tournament captures lightning like that again with a phenom player who is loyal to an underdog program within the sport, along with a storyline from last year with the Angel Reese beef in the previous year’s NC game fully carrying over to the next season and tournament with another head to head matchup.

He is also a disingenuous and has narrative to push. Anyone who dares to say that the women's college BBall tournament generates more eyes and ad revenue is using mental gymnastics or just reciting intentionally skewed statistics. I could use stats like more time was spent watching NHL games last year than NFL games and therefore more ad time was sold by the NHL in an attempt to convince you that the NHL is a more profitable league than the NFL. But anyone with a brain can see the NFL is a far more popular and lucrative league.

Girls basketball is boring to watch. It will never get the viewership, attention and hype that mens does. Most people would rather be doing anything else over watching a women's basketball game.
