Facebook post so it's out there now... from his father..
"My family would like to publicly thank the medical staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown for the excellent care that they have given our son Dylan Jay these past two days.
Dylan started experiencing severe abdominal pain Thursday evening, was taken to the ER early Friday morning the 24th and a few hours later was operated on by Dr. Cohen. He presented with a strangulated bowel so they took portions of it out as well as his appendix. Dr. Cohen was so helpful and informative. She provided information to us pre-and post surgery, which we are so grateful for seeing that we live in Washington state. He was on a ventilator the first day but is now off the vent.
Dylan is healing fast, his sepsis has subsided, his vitals are normal again, and he is going on short, slow walks around the ICU.
To the Rosenbaum family house thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality you provided for my wife, Maria, while she is at Dylan's bedside. The comfortable private room, warm shower, and all meals provided for a nominal $20 a day fee made this tough experience a lot easier to navigate. Maria took the first flight out of Seattle and arrived just after midnight Friday night.
Lastly, thank you to Dr Balcik, WVU Men's Basketball team doctor, Randy Meador, WVU Men's Basketball Head Athletic trainer, Nnamdi, WVU medical assistant, Kristen the WVU🏀academic advisor, the WVU🏀teammates who visited Dylan, and the WVU 🏀coaches who visited Dylan. "
