Please tell me that you aren't supportive of what is going on in some of our cities?
No more than I am supportive of what's going on in my own backyard in WV, but I don't dismiss WV out of hand because we ain't perfect, But then Donnie, your hero, is a New Yorker and I love new York also!
No what I asked you and you deflected. I just can't understand why anybody would allow that to happen on their streets. Certainly lack of leadership.
Not Airport. I'd transfer some of the Global Warming money to clean up the mess and build shelters. (It can't be good for the air quality.) Build those shelters next to Plastic lady.
First, institute law and order. If you crap on the street send them to jail, hose them down. Move them to other areas and keep moving them further out. Make it unwelcoming and they will leave. They have no right to live on a street.

I guess law and order is lost on liberals. There have always been derelicts in the world, liberals just let them ruin an area. Turn a water hose on them. They have no rights.
The homeless population in America is mostly a personal choice. The homeless prefer to live on the streets. Mental Illness and drug abuse are the major drivers. Address both and the issue gets addressed big time. CA was ground zero for eliminating forced mental illness incarcerations and that was in the 60's. Since then, they were the first to offer needle exchange to combat the AID's crisis and SF welcomed the homeless, offering free everything to those who moved there. They were very proud of it! Well, the mentally ill and drug addicts took them up on their offer and now they have a major problem, but no money to address the issue.
Oh they have rights. You’ve been living in Virginia too long, you don’t have to own land to have rights.
I love how it’s considered a “choice”. I’m not saying that choices didn’t lead to their condition, but homelessness isn’t some awesome life.
They do not have the right to set up a residence where there is none. I'm pretty sure that the street isn't zoned for a single family residence. You lack the resolve that marks a liberal. Run them out of town, turn a water hose on them. What ever it takes. If you crap or urinate in public, that's against the law. Some of you liberals are just pussies.
Crapping on the street involves public nudity. A crime or misdemeanor. Time for people to take their cities back from lawless liberal pussy mayors.
Never said it was, but most don't want to be in thy system where they have to address their addiction or forced to take meds they don't like. For them, it is the better choice to support what they believe (as bad as it seems).
In Philly, my old company paid a social worker/nurse to roam the streets and find patients who was released from jail or a mental illness clinic who never made the follow-up visit with their mental health professional. They were off of their meds, and her job was to persuade them to take a long acting anti-psychotic that lasted 3 months. The major reason was that they they were afraid to seek treatment because of the fear of being locked up again, or that the gov. was poisoning them. After a year, those that she treated got off the streets and started to work their way back into society. Most however, continued to hide from her or refuse her services. We deemed the project successful but Philly did not want to expand it for cost reasons.

Then one should factor into the equation the consequences for potential choices they make.
