That's because the schedule is normally soft at WVU early in the year. Beating Liberty etc is not the same as facing someone that has a chance. He sucked against decent competition...and at the end of the seasons.

I saw some numbers for Holgorsen at WVU against top 25 teams. He was 5-15.
