Over the last several years, condos, townhomes, etc. have been built all over the Morgantown area. I'm assuming a lot of that new building construction was speculation by builders to accommodate the Gee's master plan to increase the WVU enrollment to around 40,000 or so. Now that the enrollment has been downsized this year to, I believe, around 25,000 for both under and graduate students, is there a decline in what renters/students are paying? Competition in other words. Or is that just wishful thinking? I know that the increased employment by WVU Health probably offsets some of that decrease in student enrollment.
