SIAP: And these may not be precise, but consider these numbers from Sportsline last night (I listen to it as a pod on my morning commute):
- WVU has started 22 guys this year making their first ever start
- WVU is heading into this week with 17 (!!!) guys who headed into spring practice were expected to be major contributors. This is not all attrition - it includes some injuries - and that number will shrink slightly when some guys get back from injury (or could grow if more players leave)...
Put those numbers against the backdrop of a new coach and the loss of several all conference / NFL caliber players, and, well, to beat a dead horse...patience is sorely needed.
