Could be an historic day

What the he!! are you babbling about, Geezer? If WVU beats a middle-of-the-pack Big 12 team without its two best players, including the projected No. 1 player in the next NBA Draft, it will be an historical accomplishment? Put down the crack pipe.

this from a person whose basketball team has no souls and whose football team has to rely on a conference changing rules to get them in a playoff.......no ahia state coach has 900 wins in anything so piss off.....aren't there some ambulances that need chased down?

that middle of the pack team is 17th in the country

Middle-of-the-pack Big 12 team is what I posted, dumb a$$. Oklahoma State is currently fifth in the Big 12, and is playing without its best scorer, rebounder, and assist man, including the top pick in the next NBA draft. Without Cunningham and Likeley, Oklahoma State is an NIT-level team at best, but enjoy your mighty impressive victory, just the same.

Your post means a whole lot, considering that WVU's football team ran away from playing Oklahoma in football, and found a way not to play at Baylor in basketball. Then, the Big 12 rewards y'all by giving you four straight home games to end the season. Nobody gives a sh!t about fraud tHuggs' wins at Akron and Walsh, dipsh!t.

we didn't cancel...the conference did....and our conference didn't change any rules because one of our teams whined and cried.......nobody whines like the ahia state buckeyes..... and noone cares about butler and some school named after ladies underwear either

WVU canceled the Oklahoma football game, so don't lie. Moreover, no b!tch cries about officiating and having to travel so many road miles as tHuggs, and the Big 12 bends over every time that he drops his drawers.

P.S. Today's free-throw count continues an unbelievable trend: WVU 24, Okie Lite 8.

then they need to stop fouling us dont they?...you should be more worried about the masked man and some angry indians [banana]

The ancient dumb a$$ jinxed his team and crybaby coach. Meanwhile, Dosunmu, the second best player in the B1G, doesn't play for three games, including at Michigan, but returns just in time to go 5-5 in the First Half vs. the Buckeyes. 7'1" monster Cockburn is 5-7, but somehow Ohio State is only down four points at Halftime. Might need a miracle ala 2005 when Ohio State beat an undefeated No. 1 Illinois team in the last game of the regular season to win today. Unlikely

You had that game won, but took bad shots in the final minute (in my opinion) and seemed to stop defending in crunch time.

I guess that I should be happy that Ohio State lost a close one to No. 4 with its full complement of players instead of No. 17 without its best two players, but I'm not. Ever since he went off vs. Michigan, Dwayne Washington, Jr. has been a big-time choker at the end of games.

your souls are gone......we both lost....now time to get ready for tournament....we will be a 3 seed and you guys might be also

With the Herd winning yesterday, they finished with the best record in the state of WV amongst D1 teams again. Was that the historic moment you were referencing?

Unlike WVU, Ohio State didn't lose to a double-digit underdog on its home court ever this season. I tried to tell you last season that your moronic "souls were taken" bullsh!t was just that. Holtmann's teams always play over their heads for most of the season, but have a four to seven game stretch where they can't beat anybody with a pulse. Unfortunately, the rough patch this season has occurred in February-March instead of December-January, the latter of which is the norm for his teams. Of course, three of Ohio State's four recent losses have been to Top 5 teams in the Country all playing at full strength and with great bigs, so schedule strength has a lot to do with the recent slide, too. Ohio State is still a #2 seed and WVU is a #3 seed, but their performances in the conference tournaments will dictate their seeding somewhat.

at least we are talking about seeding instead of whether or not our teams will make it (cue marshla here)

Thank you for noting that .....we had a quietly nice season considering all the stoppages and the crazy C-USA scheduling!

a supposed D-1 team that plays a junior varsity schedule?.......My Glenville Pioneers would have had a winning record against those clowns

reference my answer to Michigan Herd above.........if Marshla wants to be D-1 then they need to play a schedule that represents D-1.............and if your coach behaves himself they might....I said might...get a one off game in Morgantown someday

Had I known Michigan was going to mail in a loss yesterday, I would have opted for Juwan to have sent over the Jayvee team to East Lansing. You know, pull an Oklahoma State. Ended up losing a key player to injury during the opening minutes of the game, and that may hurt them down the road. No sense risking getting injuries when you just show up to mail one in. Granted, they tried to pull off a win late into the contest, but it was too late by then.

and we all can't play coppin state or arkansas state  either
If you boys can work up the nerve to play...you know how to reach us! I honestly can't figure your 20-21 edition out , sometimes I think you're pretty damn good , sometimes I think you couldn't beat the Herd!

Are you referring to Eli Brooks, who averages 8.7 points per game? Not exactly the same as losing Dickinson. I saw in the Box Score that he only played 5 minutes yesterday, but didn't watch any of the Game. The B1G Tournament should be interesting.

Best conference tournament in the country....hands down!

Yes. He's not a huge scorer, but a guy that does the little things, plus he's a key defender on whomever is the other team's scoring guard. MSU's Rocket Watts ended up having a career day after that. It mostly hurts in the rotation though, as they sub out between Brooks, Mike Smith, and Chaundee Brown amongst the two small guard positions, with Brooks being the point guard when Smith is out. Still haven't heard the extent of the injury, but should know later this afternoon. I would suspect he'll be out for the B1G tournament for certain, but hopefully back in time for the 2nd game of the big dance, or at the latest, the 2nd weekend of the big dance, if by chance, they would advance to the sweet 16.

Rocket Watts was supposed to be the Second Coming, but was so bad earlier this season that he got himself benched. Sparty won't advance far in either tournament because their games will be officiated more like basketball than football games once they leave the friendly confines of the Breslin Center. Ohio State might be one-and-done, if Minnesota beats Northwestern. The Gophers have that seven-foot stiff, who looked like Yao Ming when Ohio State played at Minnesota early in the season, and Marcus Carr resembles Damon Lillard whenever he laces 'em up vs. the Scarlet & Gray. Richard Petino should be fired. Minnesota beat Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa and Pudue, but lost to the three worst teams in the Conference. It's amazing how much better his team is inside of the Barn vs. on the Road.

If ahia state wins it all I can see a return to 1 seed..especially if baylor goes out early in B12, in spite of what lunardi says.....if michigan wins at least one game their 1 seed is safe......WV has to win B12 tournament to return to 2 seed line

I believe Minnesota is going to be without the big guy you reference. He had surgery on a fracture, and I was thinking he was out for the year, but not 100% sure. Robbins is his name. The other guy was Gabe Kalsheur. He's due back soon, but maybe not in time for the tournament. Missing those two has destroyed them the last 2-3 weeks.

I saw that Robbins wasn't in Minnesota's recent box scores. He transferred from Drake, IIRC. Ohio State made him look like Bill Walton in his prime.

Ohio State isn't winning the B1G Tournament. The Buckeyes would have to beat two or three teams with dominant bigs to do that, and aren't capable of pulling that off at this point. Ohio State looked like World beaters when it reeled off seven consecutive B1G wins, but doesn't remotely resemble that team at all at this point. You're probably right about Michigan. As for WVU, your team needs to beat Okie Light to hold on to a three seed, which is important, as a four seed usually ends up playing a one seed in the Sweet 16, if it makes it that far. Okie Lite might steal WVU's three seed (and souls), if the 'pokes win on Thursday.

Ohio State would likely have to play Minnesota, Purdue, Michigan, and Illinois on consecutive days. I don't know if Michigan will advance beyond Friday, so that would probably help Ohio State if they don't, since they can matchup better with MSU or Maryland, who like Ohio State, would be playing a 3rd consecutive game. I don't see anybody beating Illinois in this tournament, unless Iowa happens to beat them, which is unlikely, since they're going to probably be without Wieskamp.

Yikes, this would be the toughest path to the Championship imaginable, as Ohio State is 1-5 vs. that group, and all of the expected opponents after Round No. 1 have at least one dominant big. I'd be happy with two wins, but wouldn't be too disappointed with one win, as a win should ensure no worse than a third seed.
