Chip Kelly was on Pat's show today and mentioned WVU again. When discussing the transfer portal, he referenced a WVU player who played against Lafayette in 1896, stayed behind after the game, joined Lafayette's team, and played for them the next week. After their opponents began protesting, he returned to WVU. I couldn't find anything about this using Google, but it is nearly 130 years ago. Does anyone know any more details?
