Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic cornerback Jaquise Alexander told me he had bene talking to West Virginia for about a week prior to when they offered. Co-defensive coordinator ShaDon Brown is the lead and he has caught his attention with how straight forward and up front he has been so far. Alexander simply told me that Brown is very good at what he does and he is really excited to get to know the program better and how he could fit into it. He of course is familiar with Tavon Austin and he comes to mind immediately when thinking about the Mountaineers. Alexander is being recruited at cornerback and the coaches like how he plays the ball, is smooth and can get out of his breaks easily. He also is long and athletic which is a good combination for that spot. Right now, he plans to visit West Virginia, Miami, Florida, Central Florida and Wake Forest for visits but doesn't have dates yet once the dead period ends. There are no leaders.
