As a season ticket holder, I have seen all but two home games during the Holgorsen era. Special teams have never been a strong suit for sure. Quite honestly they have been, let's say wanting. Having said that, the thing I can not understand, or maybe the thing that amazes me the most is the punt return situation. I don't think it makes a difference with regard to the season. We can not, or choose not, to catch a punt in the air. If we try, we do so at the last split second, indicating reluctance or better yet poor judgement. With probably 30 to 40 skilled position players on scholarship, you would thing that one would possess the ability to catch a punted football with regularity despite of the level of difficulty. Most Division I schools have broken the code.
