Williamsburg (Va.) Lafayette linebacker Chase Pine told me that West Virginia is now in his top six schools with Georgia, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State. Pine has 17 total scholarship offers and he has been to all of those schools outside of Georgia. Pine told me that the whole thing happened very fast between him and the Mountaineers because he had never spoken to them until about three-days before Sunday's camp and once he got on campus and worked out in front of the coaches, he was able to earn the scholarship offer. Pine told me that he was very impressed with the campus and really liked the vibe he got from the coaching staff. Lonnie Galloway is the lead recruiter and Pine said he plans to make a decision sometime during his senior season. All of the schools on his list outside of Georgia are recruiting him at outside linebacker, which is where he prefers to play in college. I'll have more in an article.
