Ohio State did real work in the transfer portal’s first phase. One of the less heralded additions, according to a team source, is running back CJ Donaldson.

Ohio State has not boasted his size - 6-foot-2, 238 lbs. - from a ball carrier recently. That’s a BIG running back. As a comparison, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Nolan Smith measured at 6-2 1/4, 238 lbs. at the NFL Combine two years ago.

“Absolute grown man,” our source said. “[Ohio State] is going to strip some weight off him like they did with Will [Howard]. I could see him playing under 230 once the season gets here.
