The 2022 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) is a single-elimination, fully-bracketed men’s college basketball postseason tournament featuring 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams not selected to participate in the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament or the NIT. The 2022 tournament will take place March 19 through March 23.[1]After being held for the first time in Daytona Beach, Florida due to the COVID-19 pandemic, In response to the feedback received before, during, and after last year’s CBI, the tournament will return to the Ocean Center for the second time. Prior to moving to Florida for the 2021 CBI, the tournament was held on campus sites. The 2022 CBI will mark the 14th year the tournament has been held. The CBI semifinals and championship games will air on ESPN2.
