Bracket Announced for Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship

The bracket is set for the 2023 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship to be played March 8-11 in Kansas City’s T-Mobile Center. Kansas earned the top seed after winning its 21st Big 12 regular season title and an NCAA record 64th all-time. The Jayhawks finished the highly-competitive league race with a 13-5 mark and are 25-6 overall.

Texas claimed the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 3 Kansas State, No. 4 Baylor, No. 5 Iowa State and No. 6 TCU. The top six seeds earned a first-round bye and will begin play on Thursday. Wednesday’s first round matchups feature No. 8 West Virginia vs. No. 9 Texas Tech and No. 7 Oklahoma State against No. 10 Oklahoma.

A limited number of single-session tickets are available for the Championship online only at www.big12sports.com/buytickets or www.t-mobilecenter.com. Prices range from $40 to $160 depending on availability, session and location.

Good draw. I like us in the rubber match vs a fading TT, and KU who is eyeing back to back NCs is unlikely to deliver their best shot in the game against the winner IMO. Should we get by TT and upset KU any other wins would be highly unlikely, but it could bump us up to a 9.

Playing Texas Tech on Wednesday night and Kansas on Thursday afternoon doesn't allow enough recovery time for WVU bodies. If WVU is in Big 12 semifinals then the 9 Strangers to 9 Saviors Resurrection will continue. And if it doesn't then WVU will have more time for bumps and bruises and tired legs to get ready for March Madness. WVU AT THIS STAGE is better than its W-L record! Huggins Heroes got HOT at the right time, late in the season. I can't wait to see how far the Mountaineers go in the Big 12 and March Madness!!! I am SO proud of this team. The double-digit number of single-digit losses showed that they were close to being better than good. Now they are despite the Big 12 cement mixers clanging into each other every game. I can't wait for Texas Tech and, hopefully, Kansas games!

The team will do their best, coaching staff will have them prepared. As fans, look forward to the challenge and represent with honor and grace. Bring it on.

Texas Tech suspended HC Adams

Usually that causes teams to rally but this late in the season, can easily see TT’s players be more worried about the portal rather than rising up to the adversity.

Not when they are suspended due to a player. Tech enters in on 3 game losing streak.
