GAME THREAD Big 12 Tournament - West Virginia vs Colorado men's basketball

Houston 63
WVU 49

WVU 54
Houston 70

WVU 55
Houston 89

First need to get by Colorado who has won 2 straight and is 4-4 in their last 8. Let's don't overlook them.

Weirder things have happened than a slightly to the right side of the bubble WVU team going on a deep run in a conference tournament. I think we smash CU and give Houston all they can handle.

We haven't exactly smashed a lot of teams in Big 12 and have yet to be close to Houston. WVU has only beaten 4 Big 12 teams by more than 10 points. I fully expect a win today but I don't see a thrashing. More like 6 to 10 point range. Houston, I just don't know. Depends on how engaged they are in winning a tournament they really don't need to win.

WVU is a lock for NCAA field of 64.

It’s the worst team in the conference playing its 2nd game in 2 days, we can definitely light them up. As for Houston, it’s college basketball, the worst WVU team of the Huggins era took out an eventual national runner up in the Big XII tournament. DeVries fared well in his first tournament, I like his odds to get the team ready to pounce on someone in a tournament format.

Texas Tech also went to the final that year thanks to plenty of rest. They should have sent Huggins and team a thank you basket of goodies.

True 1 game during a tournament could be anyone's game.

Only game against worst team in conference, WVU won 78-70 and Colorado playing much better than early on.

Just saying don't make the mistake of looking past them.

Computers predicting anywhere from 5 to 8 point win.

On Wednesday, WVU (19-12, 10-10) will play Colorado (13-19, 3-17)in the Big 12 tourney. The game will start at 3:00 PM ET and will be on ESPN+.
Who cares if it is at 3:00PM. I usually record the game whatever time it is on. Be Happy that it is being televised on national media.

Half Time 29-23 WVU.

WVU out scored 9-2 in final 6:49 of the half.

WVU only made 1 of their last 11 shots after starting 10 of 18.

We haven't won 20 games or more since 2019-2020 during covid year and Tournament canceled. We've won 19 twice after that.

Scorching 2nd half in first 4 minutes CU 5 WVU 2 (1 basket each with 2 of CU points from foul line).

CU might be last place team but WVU is playing like they tied them for last place.

Foul Trouble
WVU
Hansberry - 3
Powell - 3

Colorado
Trevor Baskins - 3

That was the worst call of the game and perhaps the first bad one all day. This group was doing a solid game and just hosed WVU on that one call.
