Working at a site in Hardy County today. Job site is at a hunting property so I have to cross a couple properties to get to the site.
These are just farm trails and each property has a farm gate.
After completing my work on the site I was driving out and when I approached one of the gates (only way out that doesn't include a creek forde in high water) and I go up to unlock the gate to pass through and a hornet the size of my entire thumb flies up and crawls into a hole in the post just above the lock and chain.
I hate spiders and bees. This hornet was big enough to swallow me I am certain. I stood there for a few minutes trying to decide if I wanted to leave or just wait until someone else came to open the gate a couple more similar size bees flew in and out.
I eventually grew some balls and just unlocked the gate and left.
I may quit my job instead of going back.
