A LOT has been said about Nicco's arm strength. Now, some of this was from his high school days but the scouting reports on him then said the following:

QB Hit List
ARM STRENGTH:
This is a major strength of Nicco's game. High velocity, throwing darts throughout the secondary. Includes a quick snap of the wrist, he’s able to gain momentum upon his release.

Marchiol has above-average arm strength but does not have great arm strength.

Sports Illustrated:
The arm strength you want out of a major D1 quarterback is there as he can stick his back foot in the ground and deliver strikes down the field into tight windows.

From what I've seen, his arm is just fine. It's more a question of playing time getting in sync on the long ball than the ability to throw it. I've seen a couple of 45 to 50-yard throws from him that looked just fine.

Give this kid another year and I think he could be a great asset to the team. If he was given three or four games as the starter, he'd be as good as Greene overall.
