It was my (and everybody here) impression that the donors would be stepping up to make RR first class a haul he could win with. So far I have only seen A QB (TA&M), LB (UNC), and a TE (UI) from P5 schools. Looks like a lot of JuCo and small G5 schools. I see a lot of JaxSt but lets not pretend that JaxSt could complete in the Big12.
I was surprised Lathan seemed open to returning then signed elsewhere. That seemed to be a funding issue. Are we not able to pay the going rate 2nd and 3rd tier athletes? I understand the Bluebloods are going to out bid us, but I don't expect other Big12 schools to do he same.
So is it funding? Coaches not in place yet? Or Coaching philosophy?
